Pharmacy Drug Issuance Process (Online Prescription) – ESIC General Hospital, Naroda
ESIC General Hospital, Naroda uses a digitally integrated system for prescribing and dispensing medicines to ensure accuracy, traceability, and patient safety.
1. Doctor’s Online Diagnosis & Prescription

After patient consultation (OPD/IPD), the doctor enters the prescription digitally using the hospital's Health Information System (HIS).

The online prescription includes:

Medicine names

Dosages
-
Duration
-
Usage instructions

2. Prescription Data Sent to Hospital Pharmacy

The system automatically transfers the prescription to the pharmacy database.

No paper prescription is required unless specially printed for the patient record.
3. Patient Visits Pharmacy Counter

The patient proceeds to the designated ESIC pharmacy counter.

ESIC Pehchan Card / Aadhaar / OPD Slip / IPD File No.

Hospital Registration Number (for verification)

4. Pharmacist Reviews Digital Prescription

The pharmacist accesses the online prescription through the system.

5. Medicine Dispensing
